Thermo-hemp as sustainable insulation
Thermo Hemp Premium and Combi Jute

The benefits of hemp are immense. It is one of the most functional plants in the world. All companies in the HempFlax Group are focused on increasing the overall value of the hemp plant. In addition to fiber, they also produce animal bedding from hemp shivs and building products such as hempcrete. Food products such as seeds, oil, and protein are also extracted, as are dietary supplements such as CBD. We would be happy to inform you personally about the many benefits and properties of our natural and sustainable insulation materials.
Building and renovating in an ecological and contemporary way saves costs and protects the climate.
Products for insulation, sealing, and interior design. From cork to cellulose, from clay to natural paints. Improve your quality of life with natural materials. We're happy to advise you.
Mold? Damp walls?
Mold remediation and interior insulation with CaSi residential climate panels
The CaSi Premium Indoor Climate Panel is a mineral moisture-regulating material based on calcium silicate. The calcium silicate crystals form an open microstructure that promotes moisture transport. This permeable structure and the chemical composition form the basis for the unique properties of the CaSi Premium Indoor Climate Panel: thermal insulation, permeable, capillary-active, moisture-regulating, non-flammable, and mold-inhibiting. In damp walls, the CaSi Premium Indoor Climate Panel absorbs the moisture, distributes it evenly, and releases it into the room air. The alkaline composition also permanently counteracts mold growth.

Thermo Hemp: Summer heat protection
If structural heat protection is neglected in a home, hours of direct sunlight can turn living spaces into saunas within a few hours. Our best natural insulation material, THERMO JUTE, provides a remedy. With 2,350 J/(kg*K), THERMO JUTE achieves the best specific heat storage capacity of all insulation materials currently on the market. Just 24 cm of THERMO JUTE achieves an ideal phase shift of 11 hours. This means that the heat from outside is dampened so much during the day that living spaces remain pleasantly cool. Many other performance features make this natureplus-certified natural insulation material a particularly attractive alternative to conventional insulation.

What are the advantages of Thermo Jute?
Energy-saving
Healthy and pollutant-free
Best heat protection
Good protection against the cold
Good sound insulation
Top insulation values: cold and heat protection
Thermal conductivity up to λ (10, dry) = 0.0356W/(m·K)

Reed mats for gardens, balconies and terraces
Reed mats have always provided the ideal privacy, sun, and wind protection for gardens, balconies, and terraces. Hardly any other natural material fulfills the criteria for privacy better than reed. Reed blocks direct sunlight without creating excessive darkness. As a natural grass plant, reed is constantly exposed to the wind. The fibers are structured for bending stability. When combined into mats, the reed fibers provide excellent wind protection. Benefit from our high-quality reed and bamboo products, which, thanks to their dense and homogeneous weave, are available from us in untreated, peeled, and unpeeled varieties.

The building material clay is healthy and improves indoor air
Stroba Terra clay products have excellent sorption properties, ensuring a pleasant indoor climate and a balanced moisture level in summer and winter.
Clay is able to quickly absorb moisture from the air and release it again when needed. In rooms equipped with Stroba Terra clay products, the relative humidity fluctuates between 45 and 55 percent. In this kind of indoor climate, mucous membranes do not dry out, and particulate matter formation is reduced. The unfired clay flakes can bind foreign substances and odors, thereby significantly improving the indoor climate. strobaTerra clay products have been certified "recommended for residential medicine."

Clay stores heat and improves sound insulation
Due to its high bulk density (up to 2000 kg/m³), clay is an excellent heat storage medium. This property is also known from stove construction. Depending on the construction, solid clay can achieve a rated airborne sound insulation level of up to 55 decibels, and partition walls with clay panels can achieve up to 63 decibels.
What does clay feel like?
The benefits of clay can be felt. This automatically creates a feel-good atmosphere in every room. The living room becomes a wellness oasis. In the bedroom, you can breathe deeply, sleep peacefully, and recharge your batteries.

What colors is clay plaster available in?
Stroba Terra clay plasters are available in 19 different basic colors.

Stroba Natural Building Materials The company offers a comprehensive range of clay products under the Stroba Terra brand. All colored clay plasters can be viewed on-site at the Stroba showroom in 8310 Kemptthal.
Workshops Stroba Terra-Lehm-Workshops are held every spring/autumn in the Baumeisterzentrum Effretikon.
Positive CO2 balance for the insulation material Thermo-Hemp®
How building owners become double climate protectors:
If a builder insulates their property according to current standards, such as the guidelines of the building program, they can confidently call themselves a climate protector. The energy savings achieved through hemp insulation automatically lead to a reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. During its growth phase, hemp absorbs and stores an enormous amount of CO2. The energy consumption of 45.75 kg CO2 per m³ is offset by a storage potential of 58.5 kg CO2 per m³. Such a positive CO2 balance (13 kg per m³) is, of course, hard to come by with conventional insulation materials. Those who choose Thermo-Hemp® protect the climate and insulate their home naturally.
